I always Spaghetti carbonara recipe is very difficult, to be honest its not at all difficult and the best part is it tastes yummm!!! One of my personal favorites.
Its a very rich and creamy dish. The cheese flavor is amazing. Very easy and quick recipe takes about 20 minutes. But make sure you eat it hot.
One of my most commonly ordered dishes when I go to an Italian restaurant. I don't even go through the Menu because i know what i want. Do try out this recipe!
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti - 2 fist
- Parmesan Cheese - 1.5 cups
- Bacon - 150 grams( you can vary according to your taste)
- Eggs - 2
- pepper - As per taste
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- Spaghetti water - 2 tbsp(the water in which you boiled the Spaghetti)
- Garlic Pods - 3 nos
- Olive Oil - 2 tsp
Method:
- In a deep vessel boil water with 1/2 tsp spoon. Once the water starts to boil place the spaghetti inside the vessel . after about 8 minutes check if the spaghetti is cooked,(the best way to do is by eating and analyzing the texture). For me it took ten minutes for the spaghetti to cook.
- Cut the bacon into small pieces. Crush the garlic and cut them finely.
- In a skillet, pour 2 tsp of olive oil. Add the garlic into the pan. once the garlic turns light brown add the bacon.
- cook them until they are little crisp but not very crisp.
- In a bowl break the eggs, whisk them. Add cheese into it and combine them properly.Add pepper powder.
- Once the spaghetti is cooked, with the help of tongs pick up the spaghetti and place it in the bacon skillet.
- Mix them and turn of the heat. you can also use another fresh vessel to mix all your ingredients away from the stove, so that the egg and cheese mixture does not curdle while you combine them.
- slowly pour in the egg cheese mixture and mix them well.
Note: Make sure the egg does not curdle, ( that is why we turn of the stove)
It tastes best when served steaming hot.
