Paneer Pakoda

Paneer Pakoda
Paneer Pakoda
My husband is a hardcore non veggie. And it is not an easy task to get him to eat his veggies. So i have taken it up on me to figure out how to make him see the better side of the veggies.  I decided to give paneer a shot today to see how it will scale up to a die hard non veggies taste buds.

Now, Paneer is one of my favorite ingredients. But what will bring out the best flavors out of it. Possibly as a snack. A lil crispiness. A bit of salt to make him ask for more. Lets find out.
Paneer pakoda is quite  a simple dish to prepare.

A lovely dish to have with tea in a lovely cool evening in Bangalore. But unfortunately, the weather is unusually warm today. Now you can not have it all can you :). At least i got my hubby to stretch out to get his second helping. Ahaa.. A victory for the veg :)

Ingredients:
Paneer - 250 grms
Gram Flour - 1.5 cup ( can add more to get the correct consistency)
Salt - 1/2 tsp ( as per taste can add)
Green chilly - 2 nos
Yogurt/curd - 1 cup
Coriander Leaf - 1 tbsp
Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
Chat Masala - for sprinkle
Water - 1/2 cup ( Can vary according to the consistency)
Inno - 1/2 tsp
Oil - to deep fry

Method:
1. Cut the panner into long and thing cubes.
2. Marinate the paneer with curd, finely chopped green chillies, cilantro, ginger paste and salt. keep them aside for about 30 minutes.
3.  In a big bowl add the gram flour and salt. keep pouring little water time to time and mix them properly so that no lumps are formed.  You should get a thick consistency like that of a idli batter.
4.Add the inno.
5. In a deep pan pour oil. Once its hot pour a bit of the batter to check if the  oil is hot.
6. Dip the panner in the gram flour batter and dip it into the oil.

Fry all the paneer one by one.

Th Paneer pakoda is ready to served with sauce. you can sprinkle little chat masala on top of the paneer pakoda.
