Bread Poha
I got so bored of eating bread butter jam that i decided to make something different out of the bread which is not oily but healthy. I thought of giving the bread an indian tadka!  our own Bread Poha.
It can be eaten for break fast as well as can be eaten as snack. Its very easy to cook and in a few minutes the  delicious break fast is ready.

Children will definitely like this as a snack. if you want to try out something different from the bread do try out this easy recipe.

The recipe of Bread Poha is as follows:

Ingredients: 

  • Bread - 5 to 6 pieces
  • onion - 1 small
  • Tomato - 1 small (optional)
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Curry Leaves - 6
  • Corrinder leaves - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • sugar - 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil

Method: 

1. Cut the bread into small cubes by sprinkling some water on them.
2. In a pan pour some oil and splutter mustard seeds and fennel seeds.
3.Add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves.
4. once the onion become translucent add turmeric powder and red chilly powder. sought for a minute.
5. Add the small cubes of bread and mix them well.
6. after about two minutes add the salt, sugar and lemon juice. Mix them
7. garnish them with corriander leaves.

Bread Poha is ready to be served. you can have with coconut chutney or simple sauce.
