Shahi Paneer |
- Paneer : 300 gms
- Cashew nuts : 1/2 cup
- Milk : 1 cup
- Tomatoes : 2 nos
- Onions : 2 nos
- Green Chilies : 2 nos ( as per your spice levels)
- Ginger : 1 inch piece
- Garlic : 4 nos
- Garam masla : 1 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder : 2 tsp
- Corriander Powder : 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar : 1/4 tsp
- Oil : 2 tbsp
Method
Finely Chop onions in a blender and keep it in a bowl. Chop the tomatoes and then grind it to make it into puree. Soak the cashew nuts in milk for 15 minutes and then grind them to a make a fine paste.
Shallow fry the paneer till the edge turns brown. Keep this aside.
Hea t oil in a medium sized pan. Add the chopped onions, finely chopped ginger and garlic and green chilies. Cook till the onion becomes brown in colour. Add the tomato puree and heat in medium flame till the tomatoes are cooked ( 2-5 minutes). Add the garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix well. After 2 minutes, add cashew nut paste and bring it to boil. Add the paneer and cook for 5 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
