Italian Pasta in White sauce without Oven

Italian pasta recipe
Ingredients:

  • Penne Pasta: 1 bowl
  • Mushrooms: 6 nos
  • Sweet Corn: 1
  • Paneer: 100 grams
  • Capsicum: 1/2
  • Onion: 1
  • Carrot: 1
  • Garlic: 6 pods
  • Green chillies: 2 nos
  • Origano: 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil: 3tbsp
  • Pepper: to taste
  • Salt to taste


For Sauce:

  • Butter: 1tbsp
  • All purpose flour: 1tbsp
  • Milk: 1 cup
  • Cheese: 1tsp


Method:
  • Pasta:
In a pot of boiling water add the pasta and let it boil for about 8 to 10 minutes (read the instructions on the packet for the boiling time). Once it gets boiled add in cold water and drain out all the water from the pasta with the help of a strainer.

  • White Sauce:
In a pan add  1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of all purpose flour. Mix them well till it changes color to light brown. Add milk little by little and mix them continuously to assure no lumps are formed. When you find that the sauce has become little thick add salt, pepper and origano and mix well. check the salt level and do the additions accordingly. In the end add 1 tsp of cheese and mix well.

  • Final Touch:  
Finely chop capsicum and carrot, and boil them. Microwave the mushrooms for about 4 minutes and drain all the water. Shallow fry the thinly sliced paneer in 1 tbsp of olive oil till brown.
In a deep pan, heat 2tbsp oil and add the finely chopped garlic,green chillies and onion. Once the onions turn translucent add the boiled capsicum, carrot, mushrooms and shallow fried paneer. Add salt, pepper and oregano  Mix them well for about a minute. close the pan with a lid for about 3 minutes.
Add the boiled pasta and mix well. Check for the salt level and add accordingly.
Pour in the white sauce to the pasta mixture and mix well.
Pasta in white sauce is ready to be served. you can garnish the pasta with basil leaf.
