Chicken Roast

Ingredients

  • Chicken : 1 kg

To grind

  • Chilli powder : 2 tb sp
  • Coriander powder : 2 tb sp
  • Turmeric powder : ¼ tsp
  • Cloves : 3 nos
  • Cinnamon : 1 piece
  • Cardamom : 2 nos
  • Khus khus(poppy seeds) : 1 tsp
  • Nuts : 4 nos

To chop

  • Onions : 2 nos
  • Green chilli : 1 no
  • Ginger : 1 inch piece
  • Garlic : 4 nos
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • Tomato : 2 nos
  • Oil : ½ cup
  • Salt to taste

Method

Clean and cut the chicken into big pieces. Take one tb sp of the ground ingredients and  marinate the chicken pieces along with salt and lime juice and keep in refrigerator for 2 hours.

Keep a big heavy pan on stove and add half cup of oil. Sauté  the chopped onions, green chilli, ginger, and garlic for a few minutes in medium heat. Add the ground masala and stir for 5 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and cook stirring till well cooked. Add marinated chicken and curry leaves, stir and close the lid and cook till the chicken is tender,  in medium heat stirring at regular intervals. Remove from stove

Garnish with coriander leaves.
