A not so far distant memory. Not too far. Just a decade back. Err slightly more than that. And yet, it is so clear in my mind.
A nice Sunday evening. After running all day around the house and backyard with my wonderful brother. Tired, but never too tired.
The sun would be preparing to take a dip in the Arabian sea and retire for the day.
Its time for the evening tea. Mom would be busy sprinkling magic all over the kitchen. And before we know it, the magical aroma will pull us back into house. Mom would have spread sizzling tea with piping hot cutlet. A culinary experience, that i have never got at any restaurant. No matter how many stars those restaurant boasts of. Recently, i got the recipe from mom on making the cutlet. A bite into this, will bring a smile on my face. Any day. After all, its not just a piece of cutlet, its love.
Ingredients
Method
Chop onions,green chilli,ginger, garlic, coriander leaves and curry leaves.Powder the spices.
Heat 3 tb sp oil in a frying pan ,saute the chopped ingredients for 2 minutes,add minced meat and stir well for 10 minutes in low flame. Add the powdered spices and salt and stir well. Remove from fire and let it cool a little.
Mix mashed potatoes and meat well and form cutlets. Dip in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs.Deep fry.
Serve hot with salad and tomato sauce

- mashed potato : 3 nos
- shallots : 1 cup
- green chilli : 1 no
- ginger : 1 small piece
- coriander leaves : 1 sprig
- curry leaves
- salt to taste
- oil : 1 cup
- bread crumbs
- egg : 1 no
- cinnamon : 1 piece
- cloves : 2 nos
- cardamom : 1 no
- pepper : 1/4 tsp
- garlic : 2 nos
