Blend tomatoes in a mixer grinder and keep it aside.
In a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds have popped, add the onions and green chilli and sauté till it turns brown. Add red chilli, turmeric and curry leaves. Heat in low flame for a minute.
Add the blended tomatoes into the pan. Heat in slow flame until the tomatoes have cooked. The tomatoes will turn into deeper red and a thin layer of oil will form on the top.
The tomato chutney is ready. A good combination for Dosa / Iddly.

- Turmeric : a pinch
