- All purpose flour ( maida) 2 cups
- Egg 1
- Baking powder a pinch
- Water 1 cup
- Salt
- Sugar 1 tsp
For filling
Method
Mix sugar
and water in a pan and boil with a pinch of salt.Add coconut gratings
when the sugar melts and stir till all water is absorbed.Add cardamom powder
and mix well. Keep aside.
Mix all the ingredients for batter together
and make a medium thick batter. Consistency of Dosa will do. Add water little at a time to get the right consistency.
Heat a non stick frying pan. Put one big
spoon of the batter on the pan and tilt
the pan to all sides to make a pan cake. Cover with a lid for 1 minute, in medium heat, open the lid and take it out on
to a plate.Put another spoon batter to the pan
to make another pan cake. While
it is cooking, put one tb sp filling on
one edge of the pan cake already
cooked and roll it and keep in another
plate.By the time you finish rolling the first pan cake , second one on the
frying pan will be ready. Continue till all the batter is finished. There will
be 7-8 pan cakes with this measurement.
This is an easy tea time snack. Instead of coconut, minced meat or egg also can be used for the filling.
