Pachamanga curry (Raw Mango curry)


Raw Mango curry recipe

Ingredients

Raw Mango          1
Coconut gratings  2 cups
Cumin seeds      ¼ tsp
Garlic                    2
Turmericpowder ¼ tsp
Green chilli           3
Ginger                  ¼ inch
Prawns (optional) 20 gms
Salt
Dry chilli              1
Curryleaves         few stalks
Mustardseeds      ½ tsp
Shallots                6

 Method

Cut mango into  small pieces and cook with one cup water and prawns. Split chillies and  add to mango.

Grind  coconut, cummin seeds, turmeric powder and  garlic to a fine paste and  add to the cooked mango. Add salt and remove from fire just before boiling.

Heat  2 tsp. oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds. When it crackles add dry chilli. Add sliced shallots and curry leaves. Stop when onions turn golden brown and pour to the curry.

Serve with plain rice.
