Parippu Vada ( Dal Fritters)

Parippu vada recipe
Ingredients:

  • Chana dal(kadala parippu). : 1 cup
  • Small onion : 5 (thinly sliced)
  • Ginger : 1/2 tsp (finely chopped)
  • Green chilly : 1 (finely chopped)
  • Curry leaves :  sprig(finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil


Method
Soak chana dal in water for 3 hrs. Drain the water completely.
Grind the dal in a food processor for a few seconds. Make sure you don't grind it into a smooth paste.
Add all ingredients except oil to the crushed dal and mix it gently. . Make small balls with the dal mix.
Heat oil in a deep pan. Wet your hands and flatten each balls within your palm. Slowly add it to the hot oil and Deep fry it. Turn it in between till it becomes golden brown.
Drain the excess oil on a tissue paper and serve hot with tea.
