Ghee Rice


Ghee Rice 

Ingredients
Basmathirice                  2 cups
Ghee rice recipeGhee                              2 tb sp
Onions                           3
Salt to taste
Sugar                            1 tsp
Cinnamon                     1
Cloves                          3
Cardamom                    2
Water                            4cups
Nuts                              50 gms
Raisins                           50 gms


Method

              Wash and soak rice for 5 minutes and drain.  Fry sliced onions in ghee  and keep aside. Fry nuts and rasins and keep aside. Fry cinnamon,cloves and cardamom (whole ) for a few seconds and add rice  and stir for 10 minutes. Take 4 cups of water in a pressure cooker and boil with salt and sugar. Add rice  and cook till 3 whstles and remove the weight . Mix the fried onions, nuts and rasins .

             Serve hot. It will be sufficient for 5 adults.
