Fried Apple Pie

Ingredients:
Fried Apple Pie Recipe
For pastry

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup chilled butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
For filling
Method
Sift flour with salt in a bowl. Add butter and mix it well. Then add cold water to make a dough. Keep this dough in the refrigerator for 30 min.

Peel the apple and cut into small pieces. In a pan, combine apple, sugar, cinnamon and lime juice. Cook over medium heat for about 10 min. Then add butter , bread crumbs and a pinch of salt. Mix and cook until the apples become soft. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Make small balls from the dough. Roll each ball into a circle. Place 1 heaped tsp of filling on each circle. Brush the edges of the circle with water. Fold in half and seal the edges by pressing with the back of a fork.

Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry the pies until golden brown. Drain on a tissue paper.
