Simple rava upmma recipe |
- Rava / Sooji : 1 Cup
- Water : 2 Cups
- Onion : 1 medium size
- Tomato : 1/2 nos
- Ginger : 1 inch piece
- Carrot : 1/2 nos
- Green chillis : 2 nos
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric : 1/4 tsp
- Oil
- Roast the rava in a pan without oil till it turns light brown.
- Take another pan, heat some oil in it. Put mustard seeds. After the mustard seeds pop, add finely chopped ginger, onions and green chillis into it. Saute till it becomes golden brown.
- Add salt to taste and a pinch of turmeric. Add finely chopped tomato and carrots. keep stirring occasionally. Cook until the tomatoes blends into a sauce.
- Pour water and bring to boil. Once the water starts to boil, add the rava while mixing continuously. Keep mixing till the water has absorbed into the dish.
